Former member of the Ghana Football Association's Executive Council, Samuel Oduro Nyarko, has praised Black Stars Head Coach, Chris Hughton for his commitment to monitoring and identifying home-grown talents in the domestic top-flight.

Hughton and his assistants have been spotted at various Ghana Premier League centers this season in preparation for Ghana's next games in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

The former Wa All Stars [now Legon Cities] CEO urged Hughton to extend his scouting to other venues outside Accra to gather the best talents for the national team.

"It's commendable for the coach to scout for local players to feature for the Black Stars," Nyarko stated. "However, I think he shouldn't be restricted to just Accra. He should explore other places like Dormaa and Berekum to get the best players."

Nyarko welcomed Hughton's presence at the Accra Hearts of Oak v Nsoatreman FC game, suggesting that the coach could select players from the match.
