Avram Grant has demonstrated that the club is still very important to him.

He sent a message on the Portsmouth Instagram account ahead of their game against Cheltenham.

In the run-up to the League One match, Pompey posted on social media, saying, 'Looking for back-to-back wins.'

And it appears to have resonated with Avram Grant, who led Portsmouth to the FA Cup final in 2010.

However, in response to the remark, the popular 66-year-old responded, 'Play Up Pompey,' accompanied by three blue coloured heart emojis, to demonstrate that his time on the south coast was not forgotten.

Pompey fans have long admired the former Chelsea manager, who nearly maintained the club in the Premier League through some difficult times off the field.

He also led them to the 2010 FA Cup final, when they defeated close rivals Southampton and Harry Redknapp's Tottenham Hotspur before losing 1-0 to Chelsea.
