Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah adjudged best coach in Sudan

Former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has been crowned as the best coach of the year in Sudan.

The Al Khartoum coach was handed the accolade following his side's impressive showing in the just ended Sudanese top-flight league.

Appiah, who led Ghana to the 2014 World Cup pipped other contenders including Fawzy Al Mardy who is head coach at title winners Al Hilal Omdurman.

He guided his team to a fifth place finish on the league log.
