Former Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has echoed his desire to end his footballing career at either Asante Kotoko or Ebusua Dwarfs.

Sumaila is currently without a club after ending his spell with Qatari outfit Muaither SC.

The former Red Star Belgrade star gained prominence during his time with Ebusua Dwarfs before securing a move to Asante Kotoko.

Following an impressive spell with the Porcupine Warriors, the defender departed Ghana for greener pastures by joining Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I started in Ghana, and of course, I would want to end it here, give back and play for them. I have two clubs. I played for Great Astronomers at Colts, I played Venomous Vipers, I played Ebusua Dwarfs and Asante Kotoko before moving outside. So let’s say if I want to return, I will play for Ebusua Dwarfs or Asante Kotoko.” he said.

Sumaila is currently in Ghana training with a lower-tier club owned by the former Ghana defender in Cape Coast.

The experienced defender was part of the Black Stars squad that represent Ghana at the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, where the West Africa powerhouse bow out at group stage.
