Former Ghana international Ntow Gyan unimpressed with Black Stars preparation ahead of World Cup

Former Ghana international Ntow Gyan believes the Black Stars preparation ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is inadequate.

Ghana is returning to the global showpiece after missing out in Russia 2018.

Ahead of the mundial, the West African powerhouse has engaged in two international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua during the break.

Ghana lost 3-0 to Brazil and recovered to beat Nicaragua 1-0 on Tuesday in Spain through a strike from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

“The Brazil and Argentina we always talk about, they prepared early,” Gyan stated on Dan Kwaku Yeboah TV, via quotes by Football Ghana. “It is not like that here. We wait ‘til two weeks to the tournament and start calling in players. It does not help us.

“All this can be attributed to money; it is expensive to prepare. That is why some of these things worry us. We have money here and if so, why don’t we take that money and use it?”

Ghana will take on Switzerland in their last friendly in November before the commencement of the tournament in the Asian country in the same month.
