Former Ghana midfielder Kingston believes in abilities of Ghana’s squad for 2022 World Cup

Ex-Ghana winger Laryea Kingston is confident coach Ghana Otto Addo has a fine blend of experienced and young talents who have the potential to excel at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Black Stars make a return to the tournament after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia.

Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game in Group H on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.

"The team is full of quality players who have the potential to make a good account of themselves at the biggest stage of world football," Kingston told Daily Graphic.

"I have confidence in the technical team to deliver on their mandate and all I ask is for them to be clinical in their attack."

Black Stars will play Switzerland in an International friendly on November 17, before travelling to Qatar for the World Cup.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup takes place between November 20 and December 18

Only three sides from the continent have ever progressed to the quarter-finals; Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002, and Ghana in 2010.
