Former Ghana President John Dramani Mahama has classified Black Stars group at the 2022 World Cup as the Group-of-death.

The biggest soccer mundial has been scheduled for November and December this year, with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in Qatar.

Ghana has been housed in Group H at the mundial against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The West African powerhouse will open their World Cup account against Portugal on November 24 before taking on Uruguay and South Korea respectively.

Ghana will make their fourth appearance in Qatar this year, and officials from the Ghana Football Association, led by President Kurt Okraku, met with the former Ghana leader ahead of the tournament.

Addressing the delegation, the former President described Ghana’s group as Group-of-death.

“Unfortunately, we are in a Group-of-death, I mean the teams in our group are strongest. And look at what faith has made, brought Uruguay into our group, it will be sweet revenge if we score them”

“So please, even if you don’t beat anybody, just beat Uruguay for me and let’s pay Luis Suarez back for what he did to us” he said.
