Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko star, Charles Taylor has hinted of a return to active football in a bid to salvage Ghana football.

A chunk of Ghanaians has raised concerns about the decline of Ghana football in recent times following an unimpressive performance by the various national teams.

Ghana has suffered early elimination from tournament in recent times. The Black Stars failed at both AFCON 2021 and at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Meteors recently fueled the decline of Ghana football after suffering group stage elimination at the ongoing U23 AFCON in Morocco.

In a bid to salvage the game, the former Black Stars midfielder has hinted of a return to football to offer valuable lessons to the players.

“If we don’t intervene, Ghana football will collapse. We have to demonstrate to them that football is played on the field not by mouth”

“Experience in football is not defined by age but someone who knows what to do with the ball. Look at Barcelona’s Gavi and Pedri, they are young but since they know what to do with the ball on the field, they are starters for both their club and country. So we should stop defining maturity with age” he said.
