Former Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu among candidates shortlisted for Bibiani Goldstars coaching job

Former Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu is among candidates shortlisted for the vacant Bibiani Goldstars coaching job.

The Miners recently granted coach Michael Osei a short leave following the club’s unimpressive performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

Goldstars are currently in the relegation drop after eleven games into the Ghana Premier League campaign.

According to reports in the local media, Osei, who has been forced to take short leave will not likely return to the club.

However, the leadership of Bibiani Goldstars have reportedly contacted Samuel Boadu and other coaches for the vacant coaching job.

Since parting ways with Hearts of Oak in September 2022, Boadu has been without a club. During his tenure at Hearts of Oak, he achieved remarkable success, winning the Premier League title, the MTN FA Cup, the President's Cup, and the Ghana Super Cup. However, his contract was terminated due to a poor start to the previous season.

After 11 games in the Ghana Premier League this season, Gold Stars are 17th on the league table with 11 points.
