Former Hearts of Oak defender Dan Quaye has advised players at the club to desist from getting distracted by social media while preparing for games.
The Phobians has been inconsistent in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign. They sit 4th position with 28 points after 18 matches.
Slavko Matic side has also been eliminated from the MTN FA Cup competitions.
In an interview, the former Ghana international attributed the club’s inconsistent form to lack of quality and the rampant use of social media.
“The quality of the players is below standard. We excelled with Hearts of Oak because of self-training but the current players are lazy”
“We used to train even on matchdays but now, they prefer to be on social media than to focus on their career. They will be on social media and get exhausted for games” he said.
