Former Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has completed his transfer to Asante Kotoko’s sworn-rivals Hearts of Oak ahead of Super Clash, according to Ghanaian journalist Saddick Adams.

The 32-year-old joins on a one-year deal as a free agent after leaving Georgian club Torpedo Kutaisi in January this year.

Inkoom, who has been training with the Phobians is believed to have impressed the technical team of the club, hence the decision to sign him for the remainder of the season.

He is expected to be part of the Hearts of Oak squad for the Super Clash provided he gets his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

The 32-year-old left Ghana in 2009 after helping Asante Kotoko clinch the league title in impressive style.

The speedy defender returned to Ghana earlier this year after 13 years in a bid to relaunch his career.

Inkoom played for 11 clubs abroad including Swiss giants Basel and Ukraine's FC Dnipro.

He was part of the Ghana squad that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt before becoming a Black Stars regular.

The right-back was included in Black Stars squads for the 2010 and 2014 World Cup in South Africa and Brazil respectively.
