Former Kotoko forward Frank Mbella Etouga has tipped his former outfit to defend the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

The Cameroonian forward became an instant hit in the Ghana Premier League, helping the club to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.

Mbella scored 21 goals, one short of the goal king winner Yaw Annor in the season.

The defending champions are winless in their last two games, leaving them in fourth place with 28 points, seven points behind leaders Aduana Stars.

But the 21-year-old who currently plies his trade for Egyptian club, Al Masry believes his former outfit can win the league title again.

“I’ve been following the team and the performance. They have a good group. I sincerely think they will win the Ghana Premier League again,” he told Ghanasportspage.

The Cameroonian forward following his explosive performance in the Ghana Premier League joined Al Masry in the Egyptian League on a permanent deal in a deal worth $400,000.

The 21-year-old has made eight appearances and scored one goal since joining Al Masry.
