Former Cameroon international,Rigobert Song, is reportedly regaining his health after being seen smiling and walking, according reports inThe Sun.

The defender's 16-year playing career ended in 2010 before he made the decision to move into management and subsequently took charge of the Cameron 'A' side. Unfortunately Song's progress was halted as he fell into a coma for two days back in October after reportedly suffering a stroke.

Very little news on the 40-year-old's condition has emerged since then, but recent photographs have shownhim to bein good spirits as he continues on his road to recovery in France.

Song hadspells at Liverpool and West Ham during his playing days and made over 100 appearances for Cameroon, although he is perhaps better known for his rather unusual haircuts as well asbeing the youngest ever player to be sent off in a World Cup match, aged just 17.

He is understood to be something of a cult-hero back in his home country, so much so thathe reportedly had his medical costs paid for by the Cameroon government.

When discussing the support he received, Song said:I feel good right now. I was aware of a lot of things, thanks to the support that our government gave me in this matter. I have to thank them; Cameroon President Paul Biya and his wife first lady Chantal Biya

I also felt the support of the people of Cameroon, which gave me positive energy and gave me courage to get better.
