Former Malmoe FF midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi clinches Swedish league with AIK

Former Black Starlets midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi has clinched the Swedish Allsvenskan with AIK after a 1-0 win over Kalmar on Sunday. 

The Ghanaian was key contributor key role in AIK’s season, making 27 appearances as they wrapped up the league title on the final day.

Allsvenskan's sixth league title is Adu Kofi's his third title in Sweden, having previously won the trophy on two occasions with Malmoe FF.

Defender Robin Jansson completed a superb season by scoring the goal that secured the Swedish title for AIK on Sunday.

Allsvenskan knew that a win away to Kalmar would guarantee that they would lift the Lennart Johansson trophy, and the 26-year-old headed home a first-half goal that proved vital to give them a 1-0 victory and the title.

AIK clinched their 6th league after last winning it in 2009.

The 28-year-old penned a three-deal with AIK at the start of the season.

He previously played for Malmoe FF, Club Brugge, FC Nordsjælland, OGC Nice and Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals. 

He represented the Black Starlets at the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup staged in Korea Republic and played six matches in the tournament. Adu was called up to the senior national team for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda in October 2016.
