Former Real Tamale United (RTU) player, Kwame Danger, has called on football authorities to consider a return to the old system of camping domestic players for Black Stars.

In a recent discussion about the declining performance of the Black Stars, particularly in major tournaments, Danger suggested that the previous method of selecting and camping domestic players could be a potential solution.

He further explained that this system would allow players to return to their respective clubs for league matches, and then resume camping with the national team.

"They have to go back to the old when we were playing they will call Black Stars you will have your team you all will camp in Accra. You will train when you have a match Friday you will return to your team Sunday when you complete your match Monday then you return," told Ernest Brew Smith SHow on Youtube.

"So it made our team very tough if they can do that the local players will do well they can camp for three years by that time you can each other very well in football that is how it is.

"But now Black Stars they call somebody that person have never been to Ghana they call him to come and play with Dede you haven't played together before when he moves you don't know when to pass,"

The Black Stars are set to face Mali and the Central African Republic in June, as part of the qualifying rounds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
