Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan was adjudged Max Performer of the Match as  NorthEast United beat Odisha 2-1 in the Indian Super League on Saturday.

Gyan snatched the match-winner for NorthEast United on the 83rd minute of the game from a powerful header.

The 33-year-old Ghanaian had 100% shot accuracy, created two chances of which he scored one and had 53 touches in the game.

Redeem Tlang gave the Red and White lads the lead in the 2nd minute of the game before Xisco levelled on the 70th minute.

Ghana's highest goalscorer then headed in the winner for his side with seven minutes left to play in normal time after some brief spell of dominance from NorthEast United.

He has scored one goal in two games for NorthEast United so far this season.

He joined NorthEast United on a free transfer last month.
