The French magazine France Football have announced their nominess for the Ballon d'Or, for the best men’s and women’s players over the last year.

Fourteen of the 30 candidates for the men’s Ballon d'Or 2018 play in LaLiga: Lionel Messi, Luka Modric, Jan Oblak, Marcelo, Antoine Griezmann, Isco Alarcon, Thibaut Courtois, Diego Godin, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Ramos, Luis Suarez and Raphael Varane.
There were 15 candidates for the women’s Ballon d'Or with one representative from the Liga Femenina Iberdrola in the running, FC Barcelona’s Lieke Martens.

The winners will be announced on December 3 in Paris.
