Foxes' Caretaker Boss Craig Shakespeare Claims Kasper Schmeichel Will Play Despite Ankle Problem

Kasper Schmeichel is set to start against Hull City despite a slight ankle problem, according to his manager, Craig Shakespeare.

The Danish stopper has kept only five league clean sheets this season as the Premier League champions face a relegation battle nearing the end of the season.

Speaking to the club'sofficial websiteahead of their tie with Hull, caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare had this to say:

"Thankfully, we have everyone fit, a clean bill of health,

I have everyone to choose from.

Kasper [Schmeichel] has a slight problem with his ankle but nothing that will keep him out of training. We are managing it.

It hasn't caused him a problem in games and he has trained as normal. It is something we will have to manage as we go along. If you talk to lots of players at other they will all have niggles.

We just make sure he does his rehab work before training and it is nothing that will keep him from training or games.

Leicester's Monday night victory over Liverpool earlier in the week will give the Foxes a much needed boost, and Schmeichel is definitely a player they will want to keep fit.

Currently in 15th, Leicester are only two points away from the relegation zone. This crunch match against Hull will be seen as a must win, and having their number one keeper available will be a big boost to the team.
