PSG defender, Presnel Kimpembe, has been given a three-game ban after receiving a red card for a reckless challenge on Stade Rennais winger Jeremy Doku.

The showdown between the two teams came during the weekend and the two teams shared the spoils following a 1-1 result.

Neymar opened the scoring from the penalty spot before the halftime whistle but Guirassy leveled the score line for Rennes in the 70th minute.

Just three minutes before the end of normal time, Kimpembe was given a straight red after a terrible challenge on Doku, who is known to be a thorn in the side of his opponents due to his dribbling ability. Luckily, there has been no report of an injury on Doku.

The 18-year-old has made 28 appearances for the French top-flight side this season, netting two goals and giving two more assists.

He joined the club in the 2020 summer transfer window after breaking out at Anderlecht the season prior.
