Frank Acheampong eyes Black Stars call-up with AFCON qualifiers set to resume in November

Ghana international, Frank Acheampong is eyeing a return to the Black Stars team as he indicates that he has missed the team.

The former Anderlecht man used to be a regular in the Black Stars squad but these days, he continues misses the squad whenever a call-up is made.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi FM today, Frank Acheampong has stressed that he is working hard to merit a place in the Ghana national team once again.

“It is evident Ghana has a pool of talent. I miss the Black Stars but it’s my prayer to earn another call up”, the Tianjin TEDA captain said.

Frank Acheampong added, “I’m upping my game to earn me a spot in the Black Stars again. I am sure the technical team will divert attention to the Chinese league to assess my performance and invite me. I am forever ready for the Black Stars.

This week, CAF has confirmed that the qualifiers to the next AFCON and FIFA World Cup tournament will come around in November.

With an upcoming AFCON qualifier between Ghana and Sudan, Frank Acheampong will be hoping to receive an invite from Coach C.K Akonnor.
