The Ghanaian midfielder was on Feyenoord's list last summer, but Arnesen was powerless when Ajax offered nine million euros. "I've known him for three years," said Arnesen. "But nine million, that's not possible. Simple."
Arnesen's life would be a lot easier if he had more money at his disposal, he admits.
"But that is not my approach. Within Feyenoord there are people who do that," he points to general manager Mark Koevermans and the supervisory board.
"That's what they're about, not me." Laughing: "Would I like to? For me it is always good if more money comes,"
Mohammed Kudus joined the Dutch giants this summer from FC Nordsjaelland and has produced a number of eye-catching performances since joining Ajax.
