Frankfurt submit initial offer for permanent signing of Ghanaian Ansgar Knauff from Borussia Dortmund

Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly submitted an initial offer to Borussia Dortmund (BVB) for the permanent transfer Ghana forward, Ansgar Knauff.

The German-born Ghanaian has been on loan at Frankfurt since January 2022 and has established himself as a key cog to the club.

The 21-year-old played a huge role when Frankfurt clinched the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League title, emerging as the best young player.

Footballghana.com has learnt Frankfurt sports director, Markus Krösche, has offered €5m to Dortmund in a bid to sign the youngster on a permanent deal but Dortmund wants to keep the player.

Meanwhile, the bid is said to be below of Ansgar Knauff’s market value of 10m.

Ansgar Knauff's current contract with Dortmund will expire in the summer of 2024.

The winger has scored three goals in 20 Bundesliga games this season and contributed four goals and five assists in 48 competitive games since January 2022.
