Caf's decision to call off Ghana's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying back-to-back games against Sierra Leone has generated quite some talk on social media.

While some fans lamented the missed opportunity to see the Black Stars in action, others focused on what could become of the six points that were up for grabs.

Sierra Leone's inability to meet a Fifa ultimatum, which demanded that the ousted Isha Johansen-led administration of the football association be reinstated by end of Tuesday, resulted in the cancellation.

Under a Fifa ban since Friday on grounds of "governmental interference", Sierra Leone had pleaded with Fifa to have the national team face Ghana in the games set for Thursday and Monday, while it undertakes "process to resolve the current impasse".

Fifa rejected the appeal and issued Tuesday’s deadline.
