Freiburg forward Daniel-Kofi Kyereh says the Black Stars of Ghana will surely clinch the FIFA World Cup in the future.

No Africa country has ever won the coveted trophy with only three sides from the continent having ever progressed to the quarter-finals; Cameroon in 1990, Senegal in 2002, and Ghana in 2010.

Ghana have participated in three World Cup tournaments and went as far as the Quarter finals in the 2010 edition.

“Yes! Ghana will receive the World Cup trophy one day,” Kyereh told GQ South Africa.

“I anticipate a fun tournament. And I expect us to represent our country to the best of our abilities, demonstrating to the world that we can compete with anyone,” he added.

Kofi Kyereh has made 12 appearances for Ghana and is yet to score a goal.

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H of the global showpiece which takes place between November 21 and December 18, 2022.

Black Stars, who make a return to the tournament after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia take on Portugal in their first game in Group H before facing South Korea and Uruguay in a repeat of the 2010 World Cup quarter-final.
