FC Nantes staunch supporter, Emmanuel Merceron has commended officials of Stade Rennais FC for beating European giants to sign talented Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The French Ligue 1 outfit last weekend completed the signing of the teenager from Danish Superliga outfit FC Nordsjaelland.

Prior to the move, there was interest from Dutch Champions Ajax Amsterdam and English Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.

According to Emmanuel Merceron, Stade Rennais has done good business by investing in the teenager who was wanted by these top clubs in Europe.

"To recruit smart at 20M € with almost all of Europe on him ... it's very strong,” Emmanuel Merceron said while adding, “We can not wait to see him at work in L1 for the duration of next season.”

Having already played play in a friendly game for Stade Rennais, Kamaldeen Sulemana is settling in quite well and is expected to have a key role to play for the French club during the 2021/2022 football season.
