French Giants Set to Make Shock £40m Bid for Liverpool & England Midfielder

Ligue 1 Club Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly preparing to make a surprise £40m bid for Liverpool's English midfielder Adam Lallana.


Caught Offsidehave reported that the French champions are also set to offer the inform midfielder a staggering £200,000 a week - triple what he currently earns.

The 28-year-old has impressed for the Reds this season, scoring three goals, racking up an impressive five assists in his 11 appearances.


He missed Liverpool's 2-0 win over Sunderland with a groin injury, and Jurgen Klopp will certainly be hoping he makes a quick return.

The eye-catching performances have clearly alerted the attention of some of Europe's more financially endowed clubs, such as PSG.


Adam is seen as a player of real quality in the Premier League,� a PSG insider said.His age is not a problem as the club want the best players ” and he is one of them.�


Liverpool may have a battle on their hands to keep hold of the former Southampton midfielder if the interest does materialise into a bid. Having said that, Lallana may well see the appeal of playing under Jurgen Klopp and potentiallyfighting for a Premier League title as a more attractive proposition than a move to France.


Klopp was quoted inthe Liverpool Echoafter Liverpool thrashed Hull last month as saying:Honestly Adam as a player, since I've been here... you saw. It's not always about performing like this, it's about working attitude, it's about being involved in all the team things, in all the sessions.
