French league more settled and thought-based than Turkish league - Alexander Djiku

Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has revealed that the French Ligue 1 is more settled and thought-based than the Turkish Super Lig in pointing out the differences between the two leagues.

Having spent four years in Ligue 1, Djiku transitioned to Fenerbahçe during the summer transfer period and has quickly become a pivotal player for the club.

While Djiku acknowledges the similar physicality between the leagues, he notes that the French league places a greater emphasis on structured and strategic play.

"The Super League is a developing league, we saw the transfers made this summer. In terms of play, it is different from France, there are many more positions here," he told RMC.

"I can say that the two leagues are on equal footing in terms of physicality, but in France, the game is more settled and thought-based, while in Turkey it is more free. In my opinion, this is the biggest difference between the two leagues," he added.

Despite Djiku's consistent performance for Fenerbahçe this season, he was sidelined in their recent loss to Trabzonspor due to injury.
