Ghana international Alexander Djiku has emerged as a transfer target for French Ligue 1 club, Lille.
The Black Stars defender is expected to depart Strasbourg this month, as his contract expires on June 30, 2023.
According to Sportsworldghana, fellow Ligue 1 club Lille have have set sights on the 28-year-old as replacement for Portuguese defender Jose Fonte, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
Lille are said to have contacted the representative of Djiku over a possible move in the ongoing transfer window.
The Ghana international played a huge role for Strasbourg this season, helping the club to escape relegation at the end of the campaign.
Djiku joined Strasbourg in July 2019, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists in 127 games for the club.
