Former Assistant Coach for the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu has reiterated that there is no bad blood between Asamoah Gyan and Andre Dede Ayew as often claimed by some people.
According to the gaffer, followers of the two players, as well as their friends, make it seem like they are at loggerheads when in fact they are cool with each other.
Assertions of tension between Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew has gone on for a while, sometimes going to the extent that the Black Stars had divisions in their camp.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi FM on Wednesday, June 18, 2019, Coach Maxwell Konadu revealed that friends and followers of the two players are the ones that create the impression that there is a problem between them.
“There is no bad blood between Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew as perceived. It is the followers & friends of the two players who worsen the slightest issues between them”, the former Kotoko gaffer said.
Meanwhile, Dede Ayew who is now the Captain of the Black Stars is reportedly relating very well with Asamoah Gyan who is now the General Captain of the team at their camping base in Dubai as they prepare for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
