Fuming Real Madrid president Florentino has Zidane, Ronaldo and Marcelo all in his sights

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is fast realising his team is in urgent need for renewal.

Florentino was visibly furious after their 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid on Saturday - which left Real ten points behind LaLiga leaders Barcelona.

Diario Gol says the president is now openly questioning three cornerstones of the current team - including coach Zinedine Zidane.

Florentino believes Zidane was out-coached on Saturday by Atletico's Diego Simeone and has real fears of the Frenchman being incapable of snapping their sudden form slide.

He has also become fed up with the behaviour of Cristiano Ronaldo - on and off the pitch. Ronaldo has only scored once in the LaLiga this season and his remonstrating and gesticulating on the Metropolitano pitch left Florentino unimpressed. The president is also tired of taking the calls of agent Jorge Mendes about opening talks over a new contract.

A third pillar is also now in Florentino's sights: Marcelo. The feeling is the Brazilian's standard has fallen dramatically over the last 12 months and the only factor keeping hom at the club is his presence as a supporter of Ronaldo inside the Real locker room.
