Gama and Keita back as Mariano Barreto names Asante Kotoko squad for Medema game

Portuguese manager, Mariano Barreto has named his Asante Kotoko squad for their game against Medeama SC on Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Mauve and Yellow at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the matchday 21 games.

Midfielder Mudasiru Salifu is ruled out due to accumulated yellow cards while Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama returns to the team after missing the Great Olympics game due to suspension.

Latif Anabila is also out after picking up an injury in a training ground friendly during the week. His slot has been occupied by fit-again Kwame Adom Frimpong.

Team captain Felix Annan has lost his place in deputizing first-choice goalkeeper Razak Abalora to Kwame Baah with Richard Senanu and Wahab Adams also dropping out.

Meanwhile, Guinean forward Naby Keita Laye who has been out since picking up a groin injury against Eleven Wonders at Techiman has been named in the squad for the game.

Asante Kotoko picked up a point in their first meeting at Tarkwa and will be hoping to seal three points and remain top of the 2020/21 GPL standings.

The game has been scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
