The press conference for the presentation of the new Genoa coach Andriy Shevchenko was held today. These are his statements:
"This is a very important moment for my career. I thank the Club. Genoa is an important club and this is a project to which I really care. The number one goal for us is to play in Serie A next year and I'll do everything I can to achieve that. I promise the fans that I will give the maximum of myself to achieve this goal. I was convinced to come here because of the project, an important project, I believe so much in the future of Genoa.
Certainly Italy is an important country from the football point of view in the world. For me, working with coaches like Zaccheroni, Carlo Ancelotti and Cesare Maldini was a great experience. Now coming to work in Italy means entering the world of Italian football and challenging the great coaches who coach here, this is very stimulating for me."
