George Amoako to resign from role as Kotoko CEO

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. George Amoako is reportedly going to announce his resignation in the coming days.

The experienced football administrator has been with the club for the most parts of the era of Dr. Kwame Kyei. His contribution throughout that period has been immense with many applauding his role most of the time.

He is believed to have had a fallen out with the top hierarchy of the club prior to the elections of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last year when his right to cast a vote on behalf of the club was taken away.

According to reports from our sources in Kumasi, George Amoako has not received his salary for the past 3 months even though other members of the management team have been paid.

This and many other issues going on at the camp of Asante Kotoko has not gone down well with the GFA Executive Council member who has now decided to abandon his role.

Further checks have revealed that there is tension in the camp of the Porcupine Warriors where players have not been paid for the last 2 months and are also owed 5 months winning bonus.
