German lower side SG Wattenscheid 09 have signed Ghanaian midfielder, Eugene Ofosu-Ayeh in the ongoing winter transfer.
Ofosu-Ayeh joins the club from local rivals, SV Schermbeck.
"We've talked to each other on and off for three years," said 09 coach Christian Britscho.
“Until now, the timing has always been inappropriate. It was either for him or not for me. Now it happened at very short notice. So both sides are very happy that we are now getting together.
"Eugene is currently coming out of a somewhat longer injury, so a little more patience is required. He's a really good winger who has an inimitable ability to break up one-on-one situations.
"I'm looking forward to the moment when he signals that he's ready," he added.
Ofosu-Ayeh also expressed his excitement after completing his move to the club.
“When I see the Lohrheide Stadium as I approach, I can hardly wait to be able to play here. Wattenscheid 09 is simply a real traditional club,” he said.
Ofosu-Ayeh has previously played for 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn, SC Paderborn 07 U 21 and TSG Sprockhövel.
