Getafe sign Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai

Spanish side Getafe have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Sabit Abdulai in the on-going summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old penned a season-long loan deal with the club from lower-tier side Extremadura UD after successful negotiations.

"Extremadura UD and Getafe CF have reached an agreement for the loan of Barça player Sabit for the 20/21 Season. The Madrid team will have the option to buy after the campaign," Extremadura announced.

"From the Club we wish you a year full of success and professional growth. We are sure that it will.

Abdulai was one of the consistent players for Extremadura UD last season.

He gets an opportunity to have a taste of top-flight football in Spain.

The Ghanaian youngster joined Extremadura UD from Spartans FC in July 2018 on a one-year loan deal and was assigned to the reserves in the Tercera División.

After enjoying some impressive playing time in the Tercera División, he signed a permanent five-year contract with the club.
