GFA boss Kurt Okraku commissions three borehole projects in Sunyani

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has commissioned three completed borehole projects in Sunyani.

According to a communique from the Ghana FA after the commissioning today, seven other projects are yet to be commissioned in the Brong Ahafo region.

The three commissioned projects include the Sunyani Coronation Park (Two) and the Sunyani Technical University.

The two venues are used by the Regional Football Association as Game Centres for the Third Division, Second Division, Women’s Division One clubs, and the Division One League clubs.

At the commissioning of the projects, GFA President Kurt Okraku was in the company of Kwabena Kyere - Vice Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, Samuel Aboabire, Greater Accra Regional Football Association Chairman, Foster Kwame Opoku Boakye, Bono Regional Sports Director and Nana Gyaama Darkwah, Estate Manager of the National Sports Authority, Bono.

He expressed appreciation to Sunyani Technical University for opening up and allowing juvenile football to be played at the university.

‘’I really appreciate the gesture from the University to make the school pitch available for juvenile football’’ he said.

‘’We owe it a duty to support the growth and development of the game so I was very happy when I heard that the University has willingly donated the school Park to the Regional Football Association as a Game Centre’’

‘’You deserve commendation for this gesture and the Ghana Football Association greatly appreciates your effort and dedication to the development of the game’’ President Kurt Okraku noted.
