The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended their congratulations to Frank Acheampong after his naming as the captain of Tianjin TEDA FC.

The Black Stars asset joined the Chinese Super League outfit in 2017 in a transfer from Belgian Jupiler Pro League giants Anderlecht.

After spending 3 years with the club, Frank Acheampong has now been named as the new skipper of the team.

In a post on the social media pages of the Ghana FA, they have congratulated the explosive winger on his latest feat.

“Ghana international Frank Acheampong has been named captain of Chinese Super League side Tianjin TEDA FC”

“Congratulations to Frank on this historic feat! Well deserved...Keep it up”, a GFA post said today on Twitter.

Acheampong has made history by becoming the first Ghanaian to be named as a captain of any club in the Asian country.
