GFA Exco to hold emergency meeting on league postponement

The Ghana Football Association Executive Committee will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday morning to look at how to resolve recent issues with Accra Great Olympics following another injunction which has seen the start date of this season's league postponed indefinitely.

On Wednesday, the GFA released a short statement stating their position to put the league on hold again.

The Ghana Premier League was expected to begin this weekend (March 2nd and 3rd), however, an injunction was placed on the domestic top-flight by relegated Accra Great Olympics.

The Ghana Football Association launched the new season on Monday after an Accra High Court dismissed an initial interlocutory injunction suit against Great Olympics.

However, the aggrieved former Premier League side returned to court to secure another injunction, calling for a fair judgement of the case between them and Elmina Sharks.
