GFA must reappoint Laryea Kingston as Black Starlets coach - Harry Zakour

Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Harry Zakour has implored the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to reappoint Laryea Kingston as Black Starlets coach.

Kingston surprisingly announced his resignation after Ghana's U17 side failed to secure a final berth in the recently ended WAFU U-17 championship hosted in Accra.

The former Ghana international revealed his decision while addressing the media after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Burkina Faso.

However, Zakour, who led Hearts of Oak to annex the CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup and multiple Ghana Premier League titles beleives the Football Association must reappoint Kingston due to his potential.

"I want the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to reappoint Laryea Kingston as head coach," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"Laryea should have been patient regardless of whatever happened because we all saw the work he was doing for the country and I believe if he is reappointed, he will do a good job.

"He is my boy and I know what he can do," he added.

The Black Starlets finished 3rd which means they failed to secure a ticket for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which will be hosted next year.
