GFA promotes Ghana Premier League matches more than clubs - Harrison Addo

The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo, has stated that the association promotes Ghana Premier League matches more than the clubs themselves.

According to Mr. Addo, the clubs must play a more significant role in promoting their matches since they have received money from the league sponsor, betPawa, and enjoy most of the benefits when fans come to the stadium.

The Ghana Premier League has experienced a decline in fan attendance, with fans questioning whether betPawa is indeed promoting the league with the one million dollars it committed to doing so.

Harrison Addo has argued that the GFA does more to promote league games than the clubs.

"Sometimes it seems FA promotes the games but the clubs do not," he told Akoma FM.

"Clubs were told to do pre-match conferences on Thursdays and Fridays, they started and stopped later, and should the FA apply the laws, journalists will jump to the conclusion that we (the FA) are against them."
