The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the rescheduling of the 29th Ordinary Session of its Congress.

The congress, initially slated for Thursday, July 6, 2023, will now take place on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

The decision to change the date was made by the Executive Council of the GFA, in accordance with Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019, which empowers the council to determine the date and venue for the congress.

The GFA Statutes state that members should be notified in writing at least ten (10) days prior to the congress.

According to the GFA Statutes, the congress, held once every football season, typically convenes before the start of the said season.

In compliance with Article 31(3) of the GFA Statutes 2019, a formal convocation will be sent in writing to all GFA members at least seven (7) days prior to the congress.

The convocation will include the agenda, the activity report, the financial statements, the auditors' report, and any other relevant documents.

The rescheduled congress is expected to commence at 9:00 a.m. local time on July 10, 2023.
