GFA will fully support Black Meteors to qualify for 2024 Olympic Games – Mark Addo

The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo is confident that the Black Meteors can qualify for the 2024 Olympic games.

The Ghana U23 team on Tuesday qualified for the U23 AFCON to be staged in Morocco later this year.

At that tournament, Ghana will be aiming to secure one of the three available slots to play at next year’s Olympic Games.

Speaking to etv in an interview, GFA Vice President Mark Addo assured that the association will do everything to ensure the Black Meteors prepares for the task ahead.

"We (GFA) are so proud of the Black Meteors, Ghana hasn’t been present at the Olympics for a long time. Hopefully, we will leave no stones unturned in terms of the team's preparations," the GFA vice president said.

He continued, “the GFA will do everything from our standpoint to support them in terms of resources, scouting players out there who will represent the country and I think this is the time for the entire country to rally behind them.”

Following the qualification for the U23 AFCON, Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko has set sight on assembling the best squad for the tournament.
