GFA will make Black Meteors’ budget for 2023 U23 AFCON public - Fred Acheampong

Frederick Acheampong, the chairman of the Black Meteors management committee, has revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will make the budget for the team's 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign public.

The GFA Executive Council Member disclosed that the Black Meteors managemet team has met already to draw plans for the tournament to be hosted in Morocco later this year and will present it to the GFA for onward forwarding to the Sports Ministry.

"We have spoken to the coach. As management, we’ve met to draw our plan," he told Citi Sports.

"We would present it to the management of the Ghana Football Association for them to approve it before we draw a budget and present it to the Sports Ministry.

"When it is confirmed from the sports ministry, we would make it public for Ghanaians to know.

"The team belongs to Ghanaians, we love the support that Ghana has been given to the U-23. We can’t hide anything from Ghanaians. We can’t hide anything from the fans."
