Black Stars of Ghana concluded their 2022 World Cup preparation with a 2-0 friendly win over Switzerland in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Lawrence Ati Zigi – 7
Assured in post bar one scary moment in the first half. Played a part in the second goa. A welcome clean sheet.
Tariq Lamptey - 7
Made to work hard defensively to keep an eye on the visitors’ counter-attacks. Stood up to sterner test from Switzerland wingmen after break. Subbed.
Baba Rahman – 6
Plenty of space in which to roam. He was defensively sound.
Mohammed Salisu – 8
Given test by Adams during early stages but soon got to grips with the forward. Solid enough overall and scored his debut goal. Subbed
Daniel Amartey – 7
He was composed on the ball and calm situations with his quick thinking and simple passes from the back.
Elisha Owusu – 8
His first for Ghana and he was impressed and always the most convincing when in possession. Bring on Portugal. Subbed
Salis Abdul Samed – 8
Impressively busy on the right of the midfield three, linked with the forwards. Subbed.
Jordan Ayew – 6
As usual he was dropping deep to receive the balls but couldn’t influence the game. Subbed.
Andre Ayew – 7
Unlike his junior brother, Andre was all over the place ad making tackles for the team. He was always a threat in possession.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh - 8
Warmed himself into the game and used ball efficiently. He was brought down the box and should have won Ghana a penalty but VAR here. Decent showing.
Inaki Williams – 6
Worked tireless upfront, created good chances for his teammates. Subbed.
Second half
Antoine Semenyo – 8
Not a bad away to score your debut goal for Ghana after coming on just a few minutes later
Daniel Kofi Kyereh – 6
Kept things simple in the middle of the park
Kamal Sowah - 6
Not enough time to impressive Otto Addo
Kamaldeen Sulemana – 7
Assisted the second goal
Joseph Aidoo – 6
Kept things simple and tidy
Aliu Seidu – 6
Had time to stretch his legs
