Ghana international, Andre Ayew was on the score sheet for his Al-Sadd SC side on Friday evening and helped the team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Ooredoo Cup.
The final Group A match of the group stages of the tournament was played yesterday at the Qatar University Pitch 4.
In a clash against Qatar SC, Andre Ayew started the game for AL Sadd and needed just 10 minutes to get on the scoresheet.
He scored with a fine strike after he was presented with a good opportunity.
Subsequently, in the 38th minute, Rodrigo Tabata also scored to double the lead for Al-Sadd SC.
Despite the advantage at halftime, the visiting team could not finish off the game as Qatar SC returned from recess to come from behind to win 3-2 at the end of the contest.
Despite the defeat, Al-Sadd SC have gone through to the semi-finals of the Ooredoo Cup thanks to three previous wins in the group stage.
