Ghana international Andre Ayew returned to action for Le Havre in the French Ligue 1 after serving one game suspension.
The Black Stars captain missed his outfit’s game against giants Paris Saint Germain last weekend after picking a red card on his debut.
Ayew’s debut for Le Havre didn’t go according to script as he was sent off two minutes after coming on in his outfit game against Nantes.
The experienced forward returned to action for his side on Sunday, December 10, 2023 as his side succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Strasbourg.
Ayew was introduced in the 78th minute mark but was unable to turn things around as Le Havre suffered their third straight defeat in the French top-flight.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder joined Le Havre in November as a free agent, following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest where he helped the club avoid relegation.
