Ghana captain, Andre Ayew has admitted that the Black Stars as a team is currently not doing very well.

According to him, the national team is going through a cycle and will need time to get back on top.

Andre Ayew believes that for the Black Stars to get back to the top, it will require hard work and the team will need the support of Ghanaians.

"I think we need to stay calm. There's not much to be said at the moment....the results lately have not been the best and we are sorry for that.

"We were on top for about 10 to 12 years but now it's other people. We need to keep working harder,” the Le Havre forward said in an interview with Nana Ama Agyemang on Chasing Gold with Nana Aba.

Andre Ayew continued, “We have the talent and the players, it's just a matter of time and a little bit of luck for things to switch around.

"We cannot hide behind the fact that the results lately have not been the best and we are sorry for that but I know it's part of the game. Football is like a cycle you have moments.”

Andre Ayew is hopeful that the Black Stars will do well during the June international break.
