Black Stars captain Andre Ayew is going through rigorous training in Ghana with esteemed coach Nuru Yakubu as he aim to stay in top shape ahead of the new season.

The 34-year-old is currently without a club following the expiration of his contract at French outfit Le Havre this month.

Ayew will have to find himself a club before the commencement of the 2024/25 football season.

Since he is unattached, the former Swansea City and West Ham United star has been seriously training at the Legon Nania Park under the auspices of coach Nuru Yakubu, who is with Maltese club Swieqi United.

The Ghana international has been working hard to maintain his fitness as he negotiate with clubs over a possible move in the ongoing transfer window.

Nuru Yakubu, who is a CAF License B and UEFA C trainer has been shaping most Ghanaian professional footballers during summer and winter breaks.

Aside Andre Ayew, other top players including Samuel Sarfo, Alhassan Wakaso, Mubarak Wakaso, Bernard Arthur, Afriyie Acquah have been involved in numerous training sessions with the revered tactician with support from physical Trainer, Enoch Daitey Jordan and Legon Cities assistant coach, Nana Kwadwo Acheampong.

Nuru Yakubu, who is an expert in youth football development previously worked with Division Two side Madina Republicans and Montreal FC.

He played a huge role in the development of Alexander Agyarkwa of Selangor Football Club in Malaysia, Dominic Nsobila, Osman Bukari and others.

Nuru Yakubu in the past helped Accra Lions to secure promotion from the First division to the Ghana Premier League.
