Ghana captain Andre Ayew has urged Le Havre teammates to remain upbeat after defeat against Strasbourg in the French Ligue 1.

Ayew made substitute appearance in his outfit 2-1 away defeat to Strasbourg after serving a one-game ban following his sending off on his debut. It was Le Havre’s third consecutive defeat in the French top-flight.

However, the Ghana international has urged his teammates to stay positive despite his sides unimpressive performance in recent times. He also expressed gratitude to fans for the unwavering support.

“We don't lower our heads; we continue our journey together happy to be back on the pitches of Ligue 1. Thank you to the supporters for their support. Now for Saturday” he wrote on X.

The 33-year-old attacking midfielder joined Le Havre in November as a free agent, following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest where he helped the club avoid relegation.
