Head Coach of the Black Stars James Kwesi Appiah insists he misses working in North African country Sudan.

Kwesi Appiah was reappointed coach of the Black Stars in April after leaving Sudanese side Al Khartoum where he was coaching for three years.

The former Ghana player joined Khartom in 2014 after parting ways with the national team following a disappointing World Cup in Brazil marred by player indiscipline.

The 56 year old was named coach of the year in Sudan last year after guiding Al Khartom to fifth place beating Al Hilal coach Fawzy Al Mardy to the award.

Coach Kwesi Appiah who was speaking on the Legends Night TV Show on GHOne says the people of Sudan were hospital and he missed working there.

“I miss Sudan so much. They are lovely people. They appreciated everything I did for them and respected me,” he told GHone TV.

“They are very welcoming and friendly, it was a nice experience and I enjoyed working in the country.”

The former Black Meteors coach will lead the Black Stars for the first time since his return in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on June 11.
